Alab Environmental Services Ltd took over this site just
off the A66 in Middlesbrough in December 2006.
Waste can already be accepted at the site, where the following
recycling and recovery operations are, or are being, set
up:
Direct recycling: glass, metal, paper, cardboard,
plastics
Composting: “green waste” - wood and
other vegetable matter
Shredding: bulky items such as furniture, textiles
Construction/Demolition Wastes (including Soils):
screened for recovery of various fractions
