Alab have been at the forefront of developing its facilities to meet the introduction of “Landfill Regulations 2002”, “Hazardous Waste Regulation 2004”, “Waste Acceptance Criteria 2005” and other impending regulatory implications being enforced upon the industry at an alarming rate.

Alab have developed the Seaton Meadows Landfill Site into a Non Hazardous facility with purpose build Mono-Cells that can accept “Stable Non Reactive Hazardous Waste”. Also with the implementation of the Landfill Directive Alab has also developed a Hazardous Waste Treatment Plant at the Seaton Meadows facility, the plant is capable of ensuring the legislative requirement of Pre-Treatment meets the constraints of the “Waste Acceptance Criteria.”

Alab is operated by a highly experienced and qualified team of managers who are on hand to offer advice and solutions no matter how small or big your problem may be. The Alab management have excellent knowledge of the Landfill, Treatment, Incineration & Transfer of waste operations and are available to give general guidance on all waste matters.

Alab have a dedicated Sales department, which specialise in offering ‘Total Waste Management’ solutions to our customers. This service starts by taking you the customer through the initial waste assessment to the final transported disposal of your waste materials, whilst ensuring that you meet all of your obligations under the UK environmental legislative minefield. As Alab has in-house expertise of dealing with a wide range of hazardous waste we are able to offer a waste assessment service to help you characterise your waste correctly.
